Job Summary
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) Night Shift in en_US. This role involves providing specialized care to patients recovering from cardiac procedures, vascular surgeries, and other critical conditions in a busy cardiac telemetry unit. The position demands clinical expertise, flexibility to float between units, and adherence to strict safety and procedural protocols.
Job Details

- Shift Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid state license with a compact license in hand at submission, at least 2 years of experience in surgical tele, open heart surgery, vascular (groin) management, IV skills, and telemetry, along with certifications including ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and Epic experience
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with VAD, TAVR, and additional specialized cardiac procedures; open heart experience within the first 1-5 days post-surgery; experience managing chest tubes, sternal precautions, and cardiac drips
- Additional Responsibilities: Providing care for surgical cardiac telemetry patients, including MI monitoring, arrhythmia management, post-operative care, stroke patients with cardiac involvement, and patients with structural heart support devices. Managing equipment such as ventilators, chest tubes, and pacers, along with medication administration and patient assessments.
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
- Submission Requirements: Candidates must include responses to prior work at Providence facilities, references covering 1 year (6 months for CNAs) within the past 3 years, and confirmation of experience in related modalities.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
