Job Title

Registered Nurse (RN) – General Surgery / Operating Room

Location

Schedule / Job Type

Contract (13 Weeks) | Travel | Full-Time | Onsite | 4x10-hour shifts (Monday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, 6:45 AM – 5:15 PM) | 40 Guaranteed Hours Per Week | No Call Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide optimal patient care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation across an entire episode of care
• Deliver comprehensive nursing services to a patient population ranging from neonates to geriatrics, including their families and caregivers
• Diagnose and treat human responses to health problems while demonstrating cognitive and psychosocial competency appropriate to the population served
• Perform scrub and/or circulating duties in a Level II Trauma OR environment supporting a wide range of surgical specialties
• Coordinate care among multidisciplinary professionals and exercise sound clinical judgment in a high-volume, fast-paced surgical setting
• Maintain continuous intensive mental focus to ensure safe patient care and effective communication with internal and external contacts

Required Qualifications

• Active Nevada State RN license required prior to start date
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a Trauma OR setting
• Comprehensive Metabolic Panel (CMP) completed within 1 year of start date
• CBC with Differential bloodwork required prior to start

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with robotic-assisted surgery, including Da Vinci Xi systems
• Familiarity with neurosurgical, vascular, cardiovascular, urological, or pediatric surgical procedures
• Prior experience in a high-volume trauma center environment operating at a Level I or Level II pace
