Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Room

Schedule / Job Type
Contract | 13-Week Assignment | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | 3x12 shifts | Expected 36 hours/week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive, individualized nursing care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric Emergency Room patients utilizing the full nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Diagnose and treat human responses to health problems, demonstrating cognitive and psychosocial competency specific to the patient population served
- Coordinate care across multidisciplinary teams, incorporating family and caregivers into care planning when appropriate
- Maintain continuous mental focus to ensure optimal patient safety, sound clinical judgment, and effective decision-making in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
- Float to other areas of the organization as needed, up to competency level, including potential coverage on weekends, holidays, and call shifts
- Pick up one additional shift per scheduling period (every 4 weeks) as required
Required Qualifications
- Active Nevada RN license required prior to start date
- Required certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and ENPC or PALS
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience
- Prior travel nursing experience of at least one completed 13-week assignment required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in a high-volume, Level I or Level II Trauma Center environment
- Familiarity with stroke care protocols and trauma patient management
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to varying schedules and department needs, including call requirements
