Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a mixed PCU, Oncology, and Med/Surg unit serving an adult patient population
- Manage and titrate drips including heparin, cardizem, and chemotherapy agents as applicable
- Monitor and respond to hemodynamic parameters including CVP, A-line, Swan, and EV-1000 as needed
- Perform hourly rounding and maintain patient experience standards throughout each shift
- Float to same-level-of-care Med/Surg and PCU units as needed
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including PT/OT, case management, social work, dietician, and unit educators
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license in good standing
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience in Oncology and/or PCU settings
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- ONS/ONCC certification required
- Proficiency with EPIC EMR (recent experience within 6 months preferred for orientation planning)
- Ability to pass a required open-book skills examination with a score of 90% or higher during orientation
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Chemotherapy certification (preferred but not required)
- Minimum 1 year of charge nurse experience
- Familiarity with Alaris IV pumps and specialty lift equipment
- Experience with ventilator management and ICP monitoring
