    TravelNurseSource is working with Concentric Healthcare Staffing to find a qualified Oncology RN in Albany, Georgia, 31701!

    Job Title

    Registered Nurse (RN) – Oncology

    Location

    Albany, GA | Acute Care / Oncology

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Night Shift (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Onsite | Every other weekend required | Holidays rotate with staff

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct inpatient nursing care on a 29-bed oncology unit, managing a patient ratio of 1:5 (occasionally 1:6)
    • Care for patients presenting with acute oncology symptoms including thrombocytopenia, neutropenia, sickle cell crisis, hematology conditions, and end-of-life care
    • Utilize central telemetry monitoring; ability to read strips is not required
    • Document and manage patient care using Meditech EMR
    • Occasionally receive outpatient oncology patients transferred to the floor to complete treatment when the outpatient area closes
    • Float rarely to medical acute unit as needed
    Required Qualifications
    • Active RN license in good standing
    • Minimum 1 year of oncology nursing experience
    • At least 1 prior travel nursing assignment required; first-time travelers will not be considered
    • BLS certification required
    • Must reside at least 75 miles from the facility to be eligible; proof (driver's license) must be provided at time of submission
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • NIHSS certification preferred
    • ONS (Oncology Nursing Society) chemotherapy certification preferred; candidates wishing to administer chemotherapy must have a minimum of 2 years of oncology experience
    • Familiarity with Meditech EMR
    • Experience with hematology and end-of-life care patient populations
