Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (RN) – Acute Leukemia & Hematology Oncology – Ohio

Highlights:

• 24-bed acute leukemia and hematology oncology unit specializing in newly diagnosed acute leukemia patients
• High-acuity medical oncology environment with significant focus on blood product administration, IV antibiotics, and electrolyte management
• Epic electronic medical record system
• 72-hour comprehensive orientation program
• Interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and social services
• Strong emphasis on infection prevention protocols and patient safety initiatives

Requirements:

• Active RN license (compact or Ohio state license)
• Minimum 2 years of overall nursing experience required
• Current inpatient hematology oncology experience required (must include leukemia/blood dyscrasias)
• Medical-surgical oncology experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
• Nursing degree from ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• BLS, ACLS, and ONS Chemotherapy Certification required
• NIHSS certification preferred
• Proficiency in telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation
• Strong skills in central line management, PICC line care, IV therapy, phlebotomy, and blood product administration
• Experience with Epic charting system required
• Two professional references required (at least one from a manager/director or formal leadership role)

Additional Information:
