  • Duration: 13 weeks
  • Shift Duration: 12-hour nights
  • Schedule Options: 4x12s (19:00-07:30) or 3x12s (19:00-07:30) with call
  • Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,800-$1,890
  • Orientation: 40 hours
  • Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend, based on unit needs
  • Floating: May be required to other qualified NICU units or facilities as needed

Job Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse license in South Carolina
  • Minimum 2 years of recent NICU experience
  • At least 1 year of Epic EMR experience
  • Experience in NICU II and NICU III care
  • Current BLS, NRP, and STABLE certifications
  • Travel nursing experience required
  • No first-time travelers at this time
  • Flu vaccination required; COVID-19 vaccination not required
  • Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and the ability to work in a high-acuity neonatal setting

Responsibilities

  • Provide skilled, compassionate care to neonates with complex medical and surgical needs
  • Monitor and manage babies born as early as 22 weeks gestation
  • Care for patients with conditions such as respiratory distress, sepsis, hypoglycemia, HIE, abdominal wall defects, TEF, and more
  • Perform and assist with specialized procedures including full-body cooling, chest tube care, tracheostomy management, and post-surgical care
  • Support respiratory therapies and ventilator management, including HFOV, jet ventilation, CPAP, and high-flow nasal cannula
  • Administer medications, blood products, and neonatal treatments with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Use Epic documentation and collaborate with the care team to ensure safe, high-quality patient outcomes
  • Participate in family education and support developmental and therapeutic care for infants
