  • Schedule Options: 4x12s (19:00–07:30) or 3x12s (19:00–07:30) with call
  • Weekly Hours: 36 hours per week

  • Orientation: 40 hours
  • Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend, based on unit needs
  • Additional Notes: Floating may be required to other NICU units or facilities as needed

Job Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse license in South Carolina
  • BLS, NRP, and STABLE certifications required
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent NICU nursing experience required
  • Minimum of 1 year of Epic charting experience required
  • Experience in NICU II and NICU III care required
  • Prior travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered
  • Ability to work night shifts and support weekend coverage
  • Flu vaccination required; COVID-19 vaccine not required

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality neonatal nursing care to infants as early as 22 weeks gestation
  • Monitor and respond to complex neonatal conditions such as respiratory distress, sepsis, hypoglycemia, and congenital anomalies
  • Support advanced NICU therapies and procedures including full body cooling, chest tube management, and tracheostomy care
  • Assist with ventilator support, CPAP, HFOV, HFNC, and other specialized respiratory equipment
  • Administer medications and treatments in accordance with NICU protocols and best practices
  • Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and collaborate closely with the interdisciplinary clinical team
  • Deliver family-centered care, education, and support throughout the infant’s hospitalization
  • Adapt to changing patient needs while maintaining a calm, organized, and compassionate approach
