Travel Nurse RN - Neuro ICU in Winston Salem, NC

Special Procedures/Unit Details: This is a 26 bed Neuro and surgical ICU (NSICU) within a comprehensive stroke center that cares for various types of Neurological patients. Ideal candidates will have a significant amount of experience with stroke management, ICP management, seizure management, and critical care patient management including titrating drips and invasive equipment.

###RTO after booking is not allowed and is not allowed to be worked out onsite. Any call offs or additional RTO on unit, could possibly turn into a cancel and DNR###

REQUIRED SKILLS / CERTS / EXP:
Minimum Years of Experience: 2 Years Experience REQUIRED
Traveler Experience: Unit WILL NOT accept first-time travelers.
Locals Accepted / Rate Difference: Yes
Skills: ICP Monitoring, Ventilator Management, Telemetry
Certs: ACLS, BCLS, NIH

JOB DETAILS:
-Staffing Ratios: 2:1; occasionally 3:1
Unit will accept 13 week length or longer, through 2/27 end date.
-Shift: 12-HOUR NIGHTS
-Float Requirement: Yes, to other ICU's and intermediate units.
-Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend.

Patient Diagnoses: Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit Patients

UNIT SYSTEMS (Medication, Documentation, Communication): Pyxis, EPIC, SBAR

Scheduling Type: Per Unit Needs; ***NO BLOCK SCHEDULING***

Orientation: 24 hrs

SCRUBS: Not Provided. Navy Blue or White or a combination of both
