Travel Nurse RN - Neuro ICU - $2,149 per week in Winston Salem, NC

Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, every other weekend required, per unit needs scheduling

Highlights:

• 26-bed Neuroscience and Surgical ICU within a comprehensive stroke center
• Staffing ratios typically 2:1, occasionally 3:1 or 1:1 based on acuity
• Advanced neurological care including stroke management, ICP monitoring, EVD management, and ventilator management
• Epic charting system with Pyxis medication management
• Float to other ICU and intermediate care units as needed
• 13-week assignments or longer accepted; 24-hour orientation provided

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers will not be accepted
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start date
• Active RN license (North Carolina or Compact state license accepted)
• Proficiency in ICP monitoring, ventilator management, telemetry, arterial line management, and critical care drip titration
• Experience with stroke management, seizure management, traumatic brain injury, and post-neurosurgery care
• Competency with EVD management, lumbar drains, hypothermia protocols, and continuous IV sedation
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
