License: RN license required. Certifications: BLS + ACLS required - AHA ONLY. Must-Have: Epic experience required. Telemetry test must be passed prior to start. Description: Day and night shifts are available, with every other weekend required. Some holidays are also included. ICU experience is required, with neurosurgery experience preferred. Candidates must be willing to work with both ICU and IMC patient populations. Basic Arrhythmia experience is required. The role involves providing care for critically ill adult patients with a variety of neuro diagnoses. These include but are not limited to stroke, subarachnoid hemorrhage, surgical resections, and trauma. Strong critical thinking skills along with specialized interventions are essential. The nurse will perform hemodynamic monitoring and hypothermia protocols. The position requires collaboration with certified physicians and other interdisciplinary team members. The unit has a patient ratio of 2 during day and night shifts. Travelers may be required to float as needed. Pass/Fail testing is mandatory, and a telemetry exam will be conducted prior to the start of the assignment. A passing score of 80% or higher is required. If the traveler does not pass after two attempts, a cardiac interpretation review course will need to be completed. Only travelers with two years of acute care experience within the last three years in the specialty will be considered.
