This position does not accept first-time travelers. Floating may be required to NICU or L&D. Weekends will be required to meet staffing needs. Unit primarily involves postpartum vaginal or cesarean deliveries, tubal ligation, and circumcision. GYN surgeries, couplet care, low-risk antepartum, and transition nursery are included in unit responsibilities. Responsibilities include blood/blood products administration, managing drains, epidural pumps, PCA pumps, syringe pumps, wound vacs, heparin, insulin, and magnesium sulfate. The role entails OB-GYN, post-operative care, and care following vaginal delivery. Postpartum re-admission and normal newborn care including thermoregulation and glucose management are essential tasks. Candidates must be willing to float to sister facilities if required.
