Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical-Surgical Neuro Unit – North Carolina

Location: Wilmington, North Carolina

Schedule: Night shift, 36 or 48 hours per week; 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio; every other weekend required (5-6 weekend shifts per contract); 13-20 week assignment available

- Strong interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response teams, physical therapy, pharmacy, and more
- 24-bed unit serving adult and geriatric patient populations
Requirements:
- Active RN license (North Carolina or Compact state license accepted)
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification preferred
- Experience with telemetry, med/surg, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
- Proficiency in IV starts and maintenance, peripheral line care, and non-invasive airway management
- Experience with 6-7 patient ratios preferred
- EKG testing proficiency required prior to start date
- Willingness to float to other units as needed (travelers float first)
- Must complete 8-10 hours of pre-start online modules using Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge
- Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
