Description: We are seeking a Registered Nurse specializing in Acute Care - Medical Surgical. Candidates must have a minimum of 1 year of experience in the specialty, including 1 travel assignment. The position requires a commitment to patient safety and quality care. Nurses must be able to manage high patient turnover and work in a fast-paced environment. Experience in treating medical conditions such as diabetic, CHF, COPD, GI bleed, renal failure, and dialysis is essential. Nurses should be able to perform wound care and manage patients undergoing treatments for DVTs and those recovering from surgeries including amputations and debridements. Nurses will work with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 6:1 on both days and nights. There will be rotation with permanent staff, including every other weekend. Candidates should have experience with primary care nursing and large organizations with high acuity. Attendance and punctuality are critical, and adherence to the dress code is mandatory. Nurses will not be required to read heart strips but should be familiar with monitoring equipment. The job involves working with CNAs, and it is expected that nurses are able to adapt to varying patient assignments as needed. Strict policies are in place regarding personal items at the nurses' station and hygiene practices. This role emphasizes the importance of consistent patient interaction and satisfaction.
