The nurse-to-patient ratio is typically 1:5, possibly 1:6 for both days and nights. Nurse aides will be present, with a standard ratio of 1:8, generally up to 1:10. Shifts will run from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Every other weekend is required. Holidays will be needed as required. Scrub color is Caribbean Blue. Telemetry is utilized in a different unit but monitored. Floating to all acute care and cardio units will occur to provide care for medical patients or emergency care patient holds. General orientation lasts 1 week and includes EMR training. Floor-specific orientation is 2 days. The facility has a total of 44 beds and 40 staff members. Experience with MEDITECH is preferred but not mandatory. A strict 75-mile radius restriction from the traveler's address on their driver's license is in place.
