Job Opportunity – Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) Registered Nurse – Ohio

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Schedule: 3x12 hour shifts / 36 hours per week / Night shift
Highlights:
- Patient ratios of 1:1 to 1:2 providing focused, high-acuity care
- EPIC charting system utilized throughout the facility
- State-of-the-art equipment including NxStage CRRT, GE ventilators, Alaris IV pumps, and boom lifts in every patient room
- Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, physical therapy, and rapid response teams
- Float opportunities available within the organization as needed
- Two pre-approved time off periods available during assignment
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of Medical ICU experience required
- Valid RN license (compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
- EPIC electronic medical record experience required
- Current certifications: BCLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (AHA certifications only)
- Proficiency in IV starts and telemetry monitoring
- Demonstrated competency with ventilator management
- Experience managing patients with multisystem organ dysfunction and failure
- Clinical expertise in respiratory failure, sepsis, post-cardiac arrest care, DKA, liver failure, and renal failure
- Nursing degree from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
- Two professional references required (at least one from a manager, director, or charge RN)
- Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous travel nursing experience
- Experience with continuous glucose monitoring and externalized IV pumps for isolation patients
