Travel Nurse RN - Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit - $2,264 per week in Columbus, OH

Job Opportunity – Cardiac ICU Registered Nurse – Ohio

Start Date: October 19, 2026

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Schedule: 36 hours per week, day/night rotating shifts. Weekdays and some weekends with rotating holidays. Up to 6 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule period (Saturday/Sunday for day shift, Friday/Saturday for night shift). Float required within units of equivalent or lower acuity, though rotations will not occur more than once every 4 weeks.

Highlights:

• Patient ratios of 1:1 to 1:2, providing focused critical care for cardiac and vascular ICU patients
• Advanced cardiac care including CABG, valve repair/replacement, TAVR, heart and lung transplants, VAD implantation, and ECMO
• Epic charting system utilized throughout facility
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, physical therapy, and rapid response teams
• Orientation period of 36 hours to ensure successful integration
• 30-bed Cardiovascular ICU with specialized equipment including ventricular assist devices, ECMO, CRRT, and hemodynamic monitoring

Requirements:

• Active RN license (compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
• Minimum 2 years of Cardiac ICU experience preferred
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; NIHSS certification required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Graduation from ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• Core clinical skills required: IV start, telemetry, ventilator management, Swan-Ganz/PA lines, conscious sedation, intra-aortic balloon pumps
• Two professional references required (at least one from manager/director or formal leadership; charge RN acceptable for second reference)
• Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only)
