Job Opportunity – Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) Registered Nurse – Ohio

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (36 hours per week), rotating day/night schedule every 4 weeks
Highlights:
- Patient ratios of 1:1 to 1:2, ensuring focused, high-quality care
- EPIC electronic medical record system utilized throughout facility
- Care for complex patient populations including multisystem organ failure, respiratory failure, sepsis, post-cardiac arrest, DKA, and renal/liver failure
- Specialized procedures including continuous glucose monitoring and externalized IV pumps for COVID-positive patients
- Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
- Advanced equipment experience with NxStage CRRT, Alaris IV pumps, GE cardiac monitors and ventilators, and boom lifts in each patient room
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of Medical ICU experience required
- EPIC charting system experience required
- Valid RN license (Compact or Ohio state license in hand at time of submission)
- Current certifications: BCLS, ACLS, NIHSS (AHA certifications only)
- Proficient in IV starts and telemetry monitoring
- Demonstrated competency with ventilator management
- Experience with care of ventilated patients, continuous IV sedation, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
- Nursing education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
- Two professional references required (at least one from a manager/director or formal leadership role)
- Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
- Must complete Ohio fingerprinting process immediately upon contract signing
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous travel nursing experience
- Advanced proficiency in EPIC documentation system
