    Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (18:45–07:15) | 13–26 Week Contracts | 36 or 48 Hours Per Week Accepted

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit managing diagnoses including diabetes, COPD, sepsis, pneumonia, GI bleed, encephalopathy, anemia, hip fracture, and COVID-19
    • Perform telemetry monitoring including interpretation of dysrhythmias and use of remote monitoring systems
    • Manage IV therapy including heparin, PCA, IV insulin protocols, central line blood draws, PICC line management, and peripheral line care
    • Provide respiratory support including CPAP/BiPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), oxygen face masks, oral suctioning, and non-invasive airway management
    • Perform wound care, wound vac management, colostomy care, feeding tube care, chest tube management, and pre/post hemodialysis management
    • Adhere to isolation precautions, participate in rapid response team activations, float to other units as needed, and be available to serve on Storm/Hurricane Team during catastrophic events or disasters
    Required Qualifications
    • Active RN license in North Carolina or a valid Compact RN license (pending licensure acceptable at time of submission)
    • Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
    • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required
    • Must pass EKG testing prior to start
    • Proficiency in Med/Surg and telemetry skills including remote monitoring, IV insulin protocols, blood product administration, phlebotomy, and starting IVs
    • Local candidates are welcome; candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility should be aware that a local rate applies
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience with on-unit telemetry monitoring and management of dysrhythmias
    • Skills in accessing ports, tracheostomy management, interpretation of ABGs, surgical drains, and CVA patient care
    • Familiarity with insulin management and stepdown-level care
    • Proficiency with Epic EMR
