    Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Night Shift | 3x12 Hours (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Weekends as needed (likely every other weekend)

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care on Medical Surgical floors, with potential float to all MS units and potentially a rehabilitation floor
    • Care for a diverse patient population including cardiac disease, stroke, CHF, joint replacements, peritoneal dialysis, respiratory conditions, and occasional stable post-open heart surgery patients transferred from the ICU
    • Utilize EPIC electronic health records for accurate and timely documentation
    • Work collaboratively with program coordinators to deliver high-quality patient education and care
    • Be prepared to care for COVID-positive patients as needed
    • Adhere to holiday work requirements, including working at least 1–2 of the major holiday periods during the contract
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — no license encumbrances accepted
    • Minimum 2 years of RN experience
    • ACLS certification required (AHA or ARC only)
    • BLS certification required (AHA or ARC only)
    • EPIC experience required
    • Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible at the standard rate
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience with telemetry monitoring and cardiac patient populations
    • Familiarity with post-surgical care, including orthopedic and cardiac step-down patients
    • Experience with peritoneal dialysis or respiratory patient care
    • Ability to adapt quickly — traveler will receive 1 day of orientation before taking independent assignments
