Description:
Travelers will be expected to work 2 of 3 upcoming major holidays.
If the contract falls over only 2 of these holidays, the traveler will be expected to work 1 of 2 holidays.
Please do not request more than 1 holiday off.
Night shift is 3x12 hours from 7 PM to 7:30 AM.
Weekends are required as needed, likely every other weekend.
Candidates will be reviewed by clinical staff to determine clinical fit.
If the clinical review passes and meets guidelines, the candidate will be sent to the manager for a final decision.
Interviews cannot be guaranteed.
Candidates will float to all medical-surgical floors and potentially to rehabilitation.
They may also float to help with obstetric needs.
Care may include COVID patients.
The facility is tobacco and fragrance-free.
Travelers will receive 1 day of orientation and then will be expected to take assignments.
On this unit, patients may present with conditions such as cardiac disease and stroke.
The team coordinates closely with staff to provide high-quality education for patients.
All RNs are Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certified.
Staff will care for stable open-heart surgery patients transferred from the ICU.
Candidates should possess skills in Managing Ports, Blood Product Administration, Cardiac Telemetry, and others.
They should also be proficient in isolation precautions and managing intravenous medications.
A minimum of 5 patients per nurse will be the patient ratio on nights.
Interdisciplinary support is available, including physical therapy and respiratory services.
The unit cares primarily for adult and geriatric patients.
Management of diverse patient diagnoses is expected.
