Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Schedule / Job Type
Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights | 3x12 or 4x12 Hours (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Weekdays and Every Other Weekend | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a 70-bed rural Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit with a 1:5 patient ratio
- Deliver acute care and telemetry monitoring, including occasional care for pediatric and adolescent patients
- Collaborate with LPNs on night shift to support patient care needs
- Float to other units as needed, including ER and ICU, to cover patient care demands
- Document and chart accurately using Cerner EMR
- Utilize House Supervisor support, available 24/7 as needed
Required Qualifications
- Active RN License in West Virginia or a Compact State (pending license accepted at time of submission)
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Required certifications: BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA)
- Proficiency in telemetry monitoring
- Candidates must have a permanent address more than 100 miles from the facility; candidates residing between 75–100 miles may be considered on a case-by-case basis
Preferred Experience / Skills
- PALS certification (AHA preferred)
- Experience with pediatric patient populations
- Charge nurse experience
- Prior travel nursing experience
