Description:
This position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in medical/surgical/telemetry.
The contract length is for 13 weeks.
The nurse will work night shifts, specifically 4 shifts of 12 hours each.
The hours for the shift are from 6:05 PM to 7:15 AM.
The unit consists of a 70-bed rural facility.
Travelers should have experience in acute care and telemetry.
Occasional care for pediatric and adolescent patients will be necessary.
Licensed Practical Nurses are present on the night shift to assist the RN.
The RN may be floated to other units as needed, including the ICU.
A house supervisor is available for support at all times.
The patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:5.
Certifications required include BCLS and ACLS.
PALS certification is preferred.
Floating to the emergency room and ICU is required.
Preferred skills include experience with pediatrics and charge nurse responsibilities.
Candidates must have a permanent address located within 100 miles of the facility.
References from managers or charge nurses will be required.
Previous probationary actions on a license will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Candidates must be eligible and meet specific credentialing requirements.
