Job Opportunity – Medical-Surgical/Telemetry RN – West Virginia
Start Date: ASAP
Location: West Virginia
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Night shift, 6:45pm - 7:15am, choice of 3x12 or 4x12 schedule, weekdays with every other weekend, float as needed
Highlights:
- 70-bed rural acute care facility serving diverse patient populations including medical-surgical, telemetry, and occasional pediatric/adolescent patients
- Manageable patient ratio of 1:5 with LPN support on night shift and 24/7 House Supervisor availability
- 13-week contract with strong possibility of extension
- Cerner EMR system with non-billable modules (2-6 hour completion time)
- Collaborative environment with interdisciplinary support and float opportunities to ER and ICU
- Orientation held every other Monday to ensure successful onboarding
Requirements:
- Active West Virginia or Compact RN License (pending license accepted for submission)
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience in acute care settings
- Required Certifications: BLS and ACLS (American Heart Association)
- Preferred Certifications: PALS (American Heart Association)
- Telemetry experience required; pediatric and charge experience preferred
- Willingness to float to ER and ICU units as needed
- Permanent address must be 100+ miles from facility (75-100 miles considered case-by-case)
- Two manager or charge nurse references from the past 2 years
- Travel experience not required
- Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccine not required
