Contract | Rotating Days and Nights (3x12-Hour Shifts) | 13–18 Week Assignments Available
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit, with potential to float to additional units serving the same patient population
- Monitor and interpret ECG cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
- Administer medications safely in accordance with facility protocols and pass required medication competency assessments during orientation
- Rotate between day and night shifts as needed to meet operational needs of the facility
- Participate in holiday coverage, working at minimum every other holiday
- Complete all required annual hands-on competency training and pre-start modules as directed
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — permanent Ohio license or compact state license required and must be in hand at time of submission
- Minimum of 12 months of permanent experience in Medical Surgical / Telemetry
- Active AHA or American Red Cross BLS certification required
- Active ACLS certification required
- Active NIHSS certification required
- One professional reference from a manager, Assistant Nurse Manager, supervisor, or director in the applicable specialty from an assignment worked within the past 12 months is required; co-worker references will not be accepted
- Local candidates are welcome and accepted
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience within a single facility or location for the required specialty background is preferred, though not required
- Demonstrated proficiency in ECG rhythm recognition
- Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and acute care environments
