Registered Nurse (RN) - MS/Tele

Job Summary

This position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in Medical Surgical/Telemetry at an inpatient surgical unit focused primarily on General Surgery and Trauma patients. The unit has a capacity of 26 beds, with the majority of patients being post-surgical, representing 90% of the unit's population. The remaining 10% includes patients with medical diagnoses.

Unit Environment

All patient rooms are equipped for advanced monitoring, including:

• Cardiac monitoring
• Capnography and end-tidal CO2 monitoring
• Continuous pulse oximetry

Position Details

Shift: Night shift (4x12 hours, 19:00 - 07:00)

Contract Duration: 13 weeks

Work Schedule: 36 or 48 hours per week, including every other weekend and every other holiday. Employees must work 2 out of 3 winter holidays. Requests for time off up to 40 hours can be approved.

Qualifications

• BLS certification is required; ACLS certification is preferred.
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system is necessary.
• Candidates must comply with the float policy.
• Applicants can be submitted with a pending Virginia nursing license.
