Travel Nurse RN - Med/Surg / Telemetry - $2,692 per week in Wilmington, NC

Job Opportunity – Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN – North Carolina

Start Date: October 19, 2026
Location: Wilmington, North Carolina
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Night shift, 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM | 36 or 48 hours per week | Every other weekend | 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio

Highlights:

• Comprehensive Med/Surg Telemetry unit with diverse patient population including cardiac, renal, surgical, and respiratory cases
• 36-bed unit with strong interdisciplinary support including PT, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and phlebotomy
• Self-scheduling environment with 24-hour orientation and Epic charting system experience preferred
• 13 to 26-week contracts available with up to 7 days pre-approved time off per contract
• First-time travelers accepted with minimum 2 years of recent experience required
• Float requirement may include assignment to main campus location approximately 30 minutes away

Requirements:

• Active RN license in North Carolina or Compact state
• Minimum 2 years of recent Medical-Surgical and Telemetry experience required
• BLS and NIHSS certifications required; ACLS strongly preferred
• Must pass EKG interpretation testing prior to start date
• Proficiency in telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, IV therapy, wound care, and blood product administration
• Experience with central lines, PICC lines, chest tubes, BiPAP/CPAP, oxygen administration, and isolation precautions
• Competency in managing patients with renal failure, bowel obstruction, feeding tubes, colostomy/ileostomy care, and wound vac therapy
• Charge experience and community hospital background preferred
• Availability to work holidays and participate in storm team/hurricane response if needed
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
