Med/Surg Tele Float Pool Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Med/Surg Tele Float Pool Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. This role involves providing care to patients in various units, including Med/Surg and Telemetry, while adapting to different settings as needed.

Position Overview

The Med/Surg Tele Float Pool RN will be required to work rotating shifts, including nights and days, with potential floating assignments to specific units. Responsibilities include delivering high-quality patient care and collaborating with healthcare teams to enhance patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in Med/Surg and Telemetry units.
  • Float to different units as necessary, maintaining high standards of patient care.
  • Adhere to organizational policies and procedures while promoting a safe and effective care environment.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and assist in the development of patient care plans.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure optimal communication with staff and families.
  • Utilize critical thinking to assess and respond to patient needs effectively.

Qualifications

  • Must hold a valid Registered Nurse license in Ohio or a compact state.
  • Minimum of 18 months of combined permanent experience in Med/Surg and Telemetry areas.
  • At least 18 months of recent nursing experience in Med/Surg and Telemetry, with travel experience acceptable.
  • Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS are required.
  • Ability to work at least every other holiday.
  • Completion of ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation, with acceptable scores.

Work Schedule

  • Rotating shifts: Night (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM) and Day (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM).
  • Shifts may vary to meet operational needs.
