Medical/Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

This role requires a dedicated Medical/Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will possess a solid foundation of nursing experience and be ready to float to various units as needed. This position spans a duration of 18 weeks, with a 13-week option also available.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver patient-centered care on the Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit.
  • Assist in the monitoring and treatment of patients with a variety of medical conditions.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement care plans.
  • Adhere to hospital policies and protocols while ensuring the safety and well-being of patients.
  • Participate in educational and professional development activities as required.

Shift Information

Shifts will rotate between day and night schedules, specifically:

  • Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
  • Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM

Shifts may be variable based on operational needs, though preferences will be taken into consideration.

Qualifications

  • Must have a minimum of 12 months of permanent nursing experience in the specialty being applied for.
  • Proof of a permanent Ohio nursing license or a Compact state license in hand is required.
  • Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) are mandatory.
  • All travelers must work at least every other holiday.

Additional Requirements

During orientation, candidates must successfully complete an ECG rhythm recognition test and SafeMedicate assessment, achieving a passing score on both.

This position is ideal for an experienced and flexible RN looking to make a meaningful impact in patient care across various units.
