Medical Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking dedicated and skilled Medical Telemetry Registered Nurses (RNs) for our fast-paced environment. The role requires a strong background in cardiac telemetry and experience handling diverse patient populations in a variety of medical settings.

Schedule

• 3x12 or 4x12 night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM
• Weekdays and every other weekend required
• Candidates may be required to float within their scope of practice as needed

Orientation

Orientation sessions are conducted every other week on Thursday.

Unit Information

The unit consists of 16 monitored pulmonary and cardiac beds, as well as medical, surgical, and geriatric patients. It features a full telemetry floor with centralized monitoring supported by a dedicated tech.

Patient Ratios

The standard nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:5.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of cardiac telemetry or relevant nursing experience required
• New graduates with the appropriate experience are welcome to apply

Licensure and Certifications

• Must possess a valid RN license in West Virginia or a compact RN license (pending licenses are acceptable)
• CPR certification (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification are required

Additional Information

• Travelers are required to work every other weekend
• Requests for time off during holidays are limited to one of the three major holidays
• Free parking is available for travelers
• Flu vaccination is mandatory during the flu season (October 1st - March 31st) unless medically exempted
• COVID-19 vaccination is not required
