Registered Nurse (RN) - Neuro Medicine

Job Overview

Join a dedicated neuro medicine unit focused on delivering high-quality patient care. We are seeking experienced Registered Nurses to provide compassionate and comprehensive care to our patients in this specialized field.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver patient-centered nursing care in a neuro-focused environment.
  • Work collaboratively within a healthcare team to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes.
  • Adhere to established protocols and safety measures to maintain the highest patient care standards.
  • Document patient information accurately using EPIC and SBAR systems.
  • Float to different units as necessary, with a priority on traveler staff for floating assignments.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
  • ACLS and BLS certifications are required.
  • Experience or willingness to learn the charge nurse role is preferred.
  • NIH Stroke Scale certification and prior neuro experience are highly desirable.

Shift Details

  • Night shifts: 4x12-hour rotations (18:45 - 07:15).
  • 36 or 48 hours weekly accepted.
  • Weekend commitment: 5-6 shifts per month, typically every other weekend.
  • Block schedules are not available.

Contract Details

This position requires flexibility, including being ready to work during catastrophic events, mass casualties, or disasters as part of a Storm Team or Hurricane Team.

Additional Information

  • Maximum allowable RTO (Requested Time Off) is 7 days at time of auto-offer.
  • Unit orientation lasts for 24 hours.
  • Scrubs requirement: Navy blue; not provided by the unit.
  • All staff must pass EKG testing prior to the start of their contract.
