Must-Have:
- EPIC EMR experience in a similar unit within the last 12 months
- Ability to self-study telemetry strips upon acceptance
- Successful completion of a Basic Dysrhythmia test during orientation
Description:
Delivers care to patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation in coordination with other health team members.
Effectively interacts with patients, significant others, and health team members while maintaining high standards of professional nursing.
Provides high-quality care to various patient populations, including geriatric, medical/surgical, adult, psychiatric, and telemetry.
Estimated work week of 36 hours, with the possibility of additional shifts.
Rotation includes every other weekend and every other holiday.
Candidate will be required to float to different units within the scope, including non-critical care inpatient units.
Floating may include behavioral health and the emergency department if necessary.
If the traveler has critical care experience, they may be floated to critical care units.
Telemetry ratios are currently 1:4 on days and 1:5 on nights.
Med/Surg ratios are currently 1:5 on days and 1:6 on nights.
Traveler may occasionally be placed on call during periods of low census and is expected to respond within one hour.
