TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in West Burlington, Iowa, 52655!

Job Title: RN MCU Profession: RN Specialty: RN MCU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 PM - 07:30 AM Hours per Shift: 12.5 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: RN Certifications: ACLS required Must-Have: - EPIC EMR experience in a similar unit within the last 12 months - Basic dysrhythmia knowledge Description: These positions will provide support for the unit during surge. Travelers will be responsible for self-studying telemetry strips upon acceptance. A basic dysrhythmia test will be administered during the first week of the assignment. Candidates must pass this test in order to work in the float pool. The role involves delivering care to patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation in coordination with other health team members. Effective interaction with patients and their families is essential. High standards of professional nursing must be maintained. Candidates will provide high-quality care to various patient populations including geriatric, medical/surgical, adult, psychiatric, and telemetry. Estimated work week is 36 hours with the possibility of extra hours as needed. Every other weekend rotation and holiday rotation is required. Floating to various units may be required, which may include non-critical care inpatient units. If a traveler has critical care experience, they may be floated to critical care units. Telemetry ratios are currently 1:4 on days and 1:5 on nights. Medical/surgical ratios are currently 1:5 on days and 1:6 on nights. While travelers will not be part of a regular call rotation, they may be occasionally placed on call during periods of low census. If called in, the traveler is expected to respond and arrive on-site within one hour. Additional certifications required include GRH CPI/MOAB, BLS, ACLS, and NIH certification.
