Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Med Surg/Telemetry Duration: 18 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years (3 years preferred) License: Active Nursing License Certifications: BCLS, Phlebotomy; ACLS and CPI preferred Must-Have: Proficiency in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias Description: The Registered Nurse will work in a Med Surg/Telemetry unit. The nurse will be responsible for managing a diverse patient population, including medicine, cardiology, surgical, and vascular patients. The patient ratio is typically 1:3-4 during the day and 1:4-5 at night. Weekend shifts are required every other weekend, with flexibility needed to meet unit requirements. Candidates should have strong skills in IV starts, medication administration, and telemetry monitoring. Experience with level 1 trauma care is highly preferred. This role involves post-cardiac catheterization care and monitoring of various drips per MD orders. Travel experience is required for this position. The nurse will perform EKGs and manage their own IV placements and blood draws. Interdisciplinary support will be available, including physical therapy, pharmacy, and social services. Candidates must have experience in managing dysrhythmias and be comfortable working in a high-acuity environment. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team are essential for success in this role.
