Medical/Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical/Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will work night shifts and be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a telemetry setting.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a medical/surgical telemetry unit.
  • Monitor and interpret telemetry data to assess patient status.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards in patient care delivery.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Must have 12 months of permanent experience in Medical/Surgical Telemetry nursing.
  • Current and valid Ohio nursing license or compact state license required.
  • AHA or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications are required.
  • Recent experience with Epic charting (within the last 6 months) is a must.
  • One recent professional reference from a manager, Assistant Nurse Manager, supervisor, or director in the specialty applying for is required to qualify for submission.
  • Travelers must commit to working at least every other holiday.

Additional Information

All candidates will undergo an ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment during orientation. Acceptable scores on both assessments are mandatory. Local candidates will be accepted at the same rate.
