Travel Nurse RN - Med/Surg / Telemetry - $2,264 per week in Columbus, OH

Job Opportunity – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Nurse – Ohio

Start Date: November 2, 2026
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Night shift, 36 hours per week, every other or third weekend required

Highlights:

• Specialized PCU environment focusing on burns, plastic/reconstructive surgery, urology, GYN, ENT, and oral/maxillofacial surgical patients
• Unique procedures include burn dressings, flap checks, and leech therapy
• Adult and geriatric patient population with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy
• 12-month assignment with first-time travelers accepted
• Floating within the organization required as needed
• Extensive support services including physical therapy, radiology, social services, and interpretation services

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of progressive care or step-down nursing experience
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Valid RN license (compact or Ohio state license in hand at time of application)
• Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• Proficiency in telemetry monitoring, arterial line management, central line care, IV insulin protocols, blood product administration, and wound care
• Experience with interpretation of dysrhythmias, management of dysrhythmias, and titration of insulin drips
• Skills in PCA pumps, feeding tube management, PICC line management, heparin protocols, and substance withdrawal protocols
• 2 professional references required, including at least 1 from a manager, director, or formal supervisor
• Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only)
• Must complete Ohio fingerprinting process urgently upon contract signing
