Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year License: Valid state license required Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required Must-Have: - Experience with chest tubes, dysrhythmia management, and IV maintenance - Skills in isolation precautions and substance withdrawal management - Ability to utilize rapid response and code teams Description: The position is for a registered nurse specializing in the medical-surgical and telemetry unit. This role involves working night shifts on a 36-hour workweek schedule. Nurses will be required to float to different units as needed. The ideal candidate will have experience managing adult and geriatric patients with various general medical issues. Patient ratios during shifts will be 4:1. The unit supports interdisciplinary teams including physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services. Nurses will be responsible for performing various medical-surgical procedures and managing patient care transitions. Familiarity with specific equipment and procedures such as PICC line management and IV antibiotics is essential. Travelers must comply with credentialing and fingerprinting processes prior to contract signing. Candidates must also provide professional references as part of the application process. Previous experience in a charge nurse role or as a supervisor is preferred for reference submission.
