Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 20 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours (07:00 - 19:30) Experience: 2 years of experience required; first-time travelers with strong experience will be considered License: Active RN state license Certifications: BLS, NIH, CPI; ACLS preferred Must-Have: - Charge experience - Experience in charting system (Epic) - Strong clinical skills in telemetry Description: This position is for a registered nurse specializing in medical-surgical and telemetry care. The role involves working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. The nurse will provide care to adult and geriatric patients with various diagnoses. This is a border care setting for medical-surgical and telemetry overflow, excluding critical care. The nurse will be responsible for a patient ratio of 1:5 days and 1:4 on weekends. Weekend shifts are required every other weekend. Holidays will also be required as scheduled. Floating may be necessary within the specialty. Candidates must be comfortable managing a variety of patients and conditions. Experience with telemetry is essential, and applicants should be familiar with cardiac monitoring. Additional responsibilities include care management for various medical devices and protocols. Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential, as interdisciplinary support will be available. This role will involve both direct patient care and collaboration with other healthcare professionals.
