Med-Surg Tele Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Nursing Contract in Garfield Heights, Ohio

Travel RN Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,910–$2,010
- Location: Garfield Heights, Ohio, in the greater Cleveland area
- Employment Type: Travel nursing contract
- Start Date: November 1, 2026
- Contract Length: 18 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour nights, 7:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m.
- Shifts per Week: 4
- Schedule: 48 hours per week
- Unit: Medical-Surgical Telemetry
Med-Surg Tele RN Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio or an active compact nursing license in hand at the time of submission
- At least 1 year of recent combined permanent experience in the Med/Surg Tele specialty
- Active ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications in hand; pending certifications are not accepted
- Recent specialty-specific professional reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director
- Ability to complete required background screening and pre-employment compliance requirements
- Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition and medication safety assessments during orientation
- Willingness to complete required pre-start and annual learning modules
Travel Registered Nurse Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to adult medical-surgical and telemetry patients during overnight shifts
- Assess patient conditions, recognize changes in status, and implement timely nursing interventions
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and promptly communicate significant findings to the appropriate care team members
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established clinical standards
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, rehabilitation staff, case managers, and other interdisciplinary partners
- Document assessments, interventions, outcomes, and patient education accurately in the electronic medical record
- Support patient and family education, discharge planning, and continuity of care
- Maintain a safe, organized, and respectful environment for patients and colleagues
