Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical/Surgical/Telemetry

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Medical/Surgical and Telemetry team. In this role, you will provide exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best outcomes for our patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer medications and monitor patient responses, including blood products and IV therapies.
• Perform EKGs and maintain proficiency in EKG interpretation, passing required examinations during the onboarding process.
• Utilize rapid response teams as necessary to ensure patient safety and effective crisis intervention.
• Manage peripheral line care, initiate IVs, and provide care for patients requiring heparin, insulin, and PCA.
• Implement isolation precautions and maintain a safe, clean environment for patients and staff.
• Float to various areas as needed, including other facilities within the region.

Job Requirements

• Current BLS certification.
• Experience with EPIC electronic health records system.
• Ability to work a 3x12 hour shift schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Willingness to assume Charge RN responsibilities as needed.
• Maintain a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:6.

This position requires flexibility and commitment, with the understanding that all travelers may be required to float across multiple locations as necessary to meet patient care needs.
