Job Summary:
Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS TELE) registered nurse position available in a clinical setting. This role involves providing care to patients with cardiac and renal needs, following established clinical protocols. The position is scheduled for day shifts on a 12-hour basis, with a focus on performing comprehensive assessments and managing various cardiac and renal conditions in a fast-paced environment.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 12-hour days, 36 hours per week, starting on 11/02/2026 through 01/31/2027.
- Required Qualifications: Must have current active compact license, AHA Basic Life Support (BLS), AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS). Minimum of two years of strong cardiac/telemetry experience, at least one travel assignment, and trauma level II experience. Recent Electronic Medical Record (EPIC) charting experience required (will be required to do a checkoff class).
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with post-cardiac procedures such as heart caths, ablations, pacemakers, managing A-fib RVR, ESRD, CHF, sepsis, tracheostomies, nephrostomy tubes/CBI/renal biopsies, behavioral health/detox. Skills in 12-lead EKG interpretation, heart cath recovery, PIV insertion, chest tube management, drip management (including cardiac and other medications), CBI, detox/CIWA protocols, and central line care are highly desirable.
- Additional Information: The unit has 34 beds with a patient ratio of 1:4-5 during the day shift. The team is led by strong leadership, and the environment is receptive to resilient and adaptable social candidates. Scrubs must be navy blue with no competing health system or agency logos. Cross-campus float may be required with a two-hour notice, but intra-campus float within the same hospital is more common. The position may involve precepting students and new hires.
- Interview Days: Monday through Friday, with MSP interview type.
