Cardiac Renal Unit MS/Tele RN - Days - Deaconess Midtown **Clinical Interview**NO LOCAL CANIDATES (40 MILE RADIUS RULE)Contract Length: 13 weeksStart: 11/2 - Bi-weekly orientationGuaranteed Hours: 36 (will accept 48 upon request)*OT will go into effect after 52hrs on 48hr contractsPrimary location: MidtownShift Requirement: 12hr Days 6:30-7Float Requirement: First to float within skillset. Deaconess Newburgh (IN) campus (8 miles apart) & potential to float to Deaconess Henderson (KY 11 miles). 2 HR notice given for cross campus float. Mid-shift float within same campus. Cross campus mid-shift float is unlikely but possible. On Call/Call Back Requirement: N/AWeekend/Holiday Requirement: Three weekends out of every six week schedule. Every other holiday.Required Certs to be attached upon submittal: Must have current active compact license. AHA BLS, AHA ACLS and NIHSS.Minimum Experience REQUIRED: 2 years of strong Cardiac/Tele, 1 travel assignment, trauma level II experience.Charting Experience: Recent EPIC experience required (will be required to do a checkoff class)Patient Population: High acuity Tele/M/S, Cardiac heavy, (Afib with RVR, Afib, flutter, blocks), heart cath without interventions. CHF, COPD, sepsis, BH/CIWA, post ablations, dialysis.Skillset: Tele/12-lead EKG interpretation (TRAVELERS ARE REQUIRED TO PASS TELE TESTS), Initiate/titrate drips (antiarrhythmics, Heparin, amino, etc.). PIV insertion, chest tube/indwelling drain management, CBI, stables drips (heparin, lasix, protonix), antidysrhythmic (cardizem, tikosyn dosing, amio), nephrostomy tubes.Must have strong assessment and critical thinking skills! Hard worker, resilient and manages change well, social candidates.Unit Information: 41 beds. Ratio: Days 1:4-5; NOCs 1:5-7; CN rarely takes patients on days, but takes an assignment on NOC shift.Unit Strengths: Excellent retention and experience on unit. Manager has been over the unit for 15+ years and has built a strong team! Seeking contracts due to upcoming FMLA for multiple staff. Scrubs - No competing health systems or agency logos* 3 call-ins can result in termination **** Teaching hospital, may require precepting of students & new-hires ***Covid-19 Vaccine Not Required -- Subject to changeGSA hours are not guaranteed the week of Orientation.
