Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse / ED Holding Support (Float Pool) – North Carolina

Start Date: October 12, 2026

Location: Wilmington, North Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Night shift, 36 or 48 hours per week. Every other weekend required. Target patient ratios of 1:6 for MS/Tele patients or 1:4 for PCU level patients. 12-hour orientation provided.

Highlights:

• ED Holding Support position within the Float Pool, caring for admitted patients awaiting inpatient beds with diverse medical/surgical diagnoses
• Contract duration flexible from 13+ weeks up to February 27, 2027 to support team through the holiday season
• Dynamic role with exposure to MS/Tele and PCU level patients; float opportunities to ED and MedSurg areas as needed
• Epic charting system with Pyxis medication management and SBAR communication protocols
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more
• Navy scrubs provided; manager-based scheduling structure

Requirements:

• Active RN license (North Carolina or Compact state license accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start date
