The patient population will be primarily medical/surgical. Travelers may be required to float across facilities as needed. BLS certification is mandatory. ECG exam must be passed during the onboarding process. Patient care includes observation patients, respiratory conditions, and general medical surgical diagnoses. Additional care involves palliative, end-of-life, hospice patients, psychiatric observation, and diabetes management. Previous charge nurse experience is preferred. Utilization of EMR systems is required, particularly experience with Epic. The typical patient ratio is 6 patients per nurse during nights and weekends. Interdisciplinary support includes various teams like IV teams, physical therapy, and respiratory services. Travelers may float to different campus locations as required. All travelers must comply with EKG examination standards. Modules required during orientation are not billable. All applicants must meet the outlined qualifications and pass the necessary exams.
