MedSurg Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced MedSurg Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team for an exciting travel opportunity. The ideal candidate will bring strong clinical skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Shift Details

  • Schedule: 3x12 or 4x12 Night shifts on weekdays and weekends
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Contract Length: 26 weeks with possible extension

Responsibilities

The MedSurg RN will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, including but not limited to:

  • Assessing and monitoring patient conditions
  • Administering medications and treatments as prescribed
  • Documenting patient progress within the electronic medical record (EMR) system (Cerner)
  • Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Maintaining a safe and clean environment for patients

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of MedSurg nursing experience required
  • Current RN license required
  • Certifications: BCLS, NIH Stroke Scale, ACLS
  • Ability to manage patient ratios of 1:5 to 1:7
  • Travel experience is not required
  • Flexibility in scheduling is preferred, as unit cannot guarantee specific requests

Additional Information

Please note that attendance is crucial; the facility has a strict attendance policy allowing only 2-3 call-offs during the contract period. Scrubs will not be provided, so candidates must come prepared.
