Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: MS/Tele Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year in MS/Tele License: Current RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Minimum 1 year of experience in MS/Tele - Experience with EPIC EMR - Ability to float to other units as required Description: Floating is required to other units or facilities if needed. Weekend coverage is required every other weekend but may vary based on unit need. The documentation system used is EPIC. Experience with Omnicell medication system is necessary. Required skills include blood product administration, cardiac telemetry, CVA (Cerebrovascular Accident) management, interpretation of dysrhythmias, surgical drains, and remote telemetry monitoring. Patient ratios are expected to be 5 patients per nurse. The daily census for the unit is approximately 20 patients. The unit supports a range of interdisciplinary services including physical therapy, respiratory services, and rapid response teams. Qualified candidates must possess the necessary competencies to perform tasks in floating assignments. Modules are required to be completed prior to start. Travelers must maintain specific distance requirements from facilities for eligibility. A minimum six-month separation is required for travelers wishing to return after completing three consecutive contracts. Travelers must float to other units as part of their assignments. Staff members will only float to units they are qualified for based on demonstrated competencies.
