Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical/Surgical/Tele Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2 years of experience in Medical/Surgical/Tele setting License: Current Registered Nurse license Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Minimum of 1 year of experience with EPIC documentation system - MS/Tele competencies required Description: This position requires a registered nurse to work nights, covering 3 shifts per week from 19:00 to 07:30. Weekend coverage is required, typically every other weekend, but may vary based on facility needs. Floating to other units or facilities may be necessary based on patient census and care needs. The patient population will primarily consist of adults and geriatrics with various medical diagnoses. Key patient conditions include respiratory diseases, infections, dementia, and neurological issues. Candidates should possess a healthy work ethic and the ability to work well within a team. The unit operates with a charge nurse during each shift to manage flow and oversee operations. All registered nurses will be expected to demonstrate competencies in Medical/Surgical/Tele nursing. Candidates must pass an EKG exam prior to starting their assignment. Blood product administration, central line care, and IV management skills are essential. Experience with isolation precautions and management of dysrhythmias is required. Actively participating in rapid response and code team situations may be required. The average patient ratio is 1:5 to 1:6 during night shifts. The unit offers interdisciplinary support including various therapy and service departments. The average daily census is approximately 20 patients.
