Registered Nurse (RN) - Med/Surg Telemetry IMC - Float Pool

This is a float pool position. The candidate must be willing to float to multiple different units and have prior acute care hospital experience.

Position Information:

• Role: RN
• Specialty: Med/Surg Telemetry – Intermediate Care
• Shift: Day shift, 0700 – 1930
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 48
• Weekend Hours: Varies (Travelers will be scheduled for weekends based on unit needs)
• Call Requirements: None
• Years of Experience: 2 years of inpatient hospital experience preferred, Level 1 Trauma experience required; 1 year of travel experience required
• Float Requirements: Must float every shift

Education & Certifications Required:

• Certifications: Valid RN License (State of Maine), ACLS preferred, BLS required
• Education Modules: Assigned by the education department during onboarding

Unit Information:

• Number of Beds: Varies based on unit floated to (smallest unit has 15 beds, largest has 40+ beds)
• Patient Ratios: Typically 1:4 on days (possible 1:5 when stretched); 1:5 on nights (possible 1:6 when stretched)
• Equipment: Abbott Plum Pumps
• EMR: EPIC

Qualifications:

• Must Have Skills/Experience: 2 years of Level 1 Trauma acute hospital experience; ability to read and interpret telemetry strips
• Preferred Skillset/Experience: Minimum 1 year of travel assignments; 2 years of experience preferred
• Type of Patients on Unit: Varies based on unit
• Personality Fit: Flexibility is a must

Dress Code:

• Scrub Color: Any color, must be clean and professional
• Unacceptable Attire: Jeans, t-shirts, open-toed shoes, shoes with holes (e.g., Crocs)

Miscellaneous Information:

Having a minimum of 1 year of travel or prior float pool experience will contribute to the success of candidates, along with Level 1 Trauma experience in a facility with 500 beds or more.
