Registered Nurse (RN) - Med/Surg Telemetry Float

This is a float pool position requiring flexibility to float to multiple units. Candidates must have experience in an acute care hospital setting.

• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 48
• Weekend Hours: Varies; travelers will be scheduled for weekends based on unit needs

• Years of Experience: 2 years of inpatient hospital experience preferred; Level 1 Trauma experience required; 1 year of travel experience required
• Float Requirements: Will float every shift

Education & Certifications Required

• Valid RN License (State of Maine)
• ACLS Preferred
• BLS Required
• Education Modules will be assigned for Day 1 onboarding

Unit Information

• Number of Beds: Varies based on unit floated to; smallest unit has 15 beds, largest has 40+ beds
• Patient Ratios: Typically 1:4 on days (possible 1:5 when stretched) and 1:5 on nights (possible 1:6 when stretched)
• Equipment: Abbott Plum Pumps
• EMR: EPIC

Qualifications

• Must Have Skills/Experience: 2 years of Level 1 Trauma acute hospital experience; ability to read and interpret telemetry strips
• Preferred Skillset/Experience: Minimum 1 year of travel assignments; 2 years of experience is preferred
• Type of Patients: Varies based on unit floated to
• Personality Fit: Flexibility is essential

Dress Code

• Scrub Color: Any color, provided it is clean and professional in appearance
• Unacceptable Attire: Jeans, t-shirts, open-toed shoes, or shoes with holes (such as Crocs)

Additional Information

A minimum of 1 year of travel or prior float pool experience is strongly recommended, with Level 1 Trauma experience in a large acute care facility required for success in this role.
