Description: This is a contract position for a Registered Nurse specializing in Med Surg/Telemetry. The shift requires working from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. This role is in a telemetry unit with no on-call requirements. The unit has 30 beds and a staffing model that includes day and night shift personnel. The patient-to-nurse ratio is typically 1:5. Types of equipment available include Welch Allyn vital sign monitors, COWs, Hoyer lifts, PCA pumps, and CareView Virtual Sitters. The Electronic Medical Record system used is Meditech. Procedures performed on this unit may include NIH stroke protocols, EEGs, gastric decompression, and wound care. The work environment is team-oriented and self-motivated.
